UCAD telling taxing entities of president's residency issue

The Uvalde County Appraisal District is investigating whether Javier Flores, president of the board of directors, is violating the state's residency requirement. Chief appraiser Roberto Valdez said the taxing entities “are being advised of the issue.” The Texas Tax Code, Sec. 6.03, requires that individuals serving on the board of directors to be a resident of the appraisal district and must have resided for at least two years immediately before taking office.
