Property tax exemptions amendment to appear on Arizona ballot
The amendment, introduced by Sen. J.D. Mesnard (R-17) and Sen. Vince Leach (R-11), would consolidate the property tax provisions within the Arizona Constitution into a single provision, as well as allowing the legislature to set certain property tax exemption amounts and qualifications.

A trio of Cook County incumbents swept Tuesday's Democratic primary races, including first-term assessor Fritz Kaegi, who survived a heated and expensive battle against an upstart challenger who failed to make the case that the current administration was driving out business.


Commercial Property Owners Seeing Large Increase In Appraisal Values
Commercial property value notices were mailed out last week, and the Washington County Appraisal District says this year's values may come as an unwelcome surprise. Chief Appraiser Dyann White estimates a 30 percent increase in the average commercial value across the county.
