Alaska OKs Economic Development Property Tax Exemptions
Alaska will allow municipalities to exempt economic development properties from local taxation as part of a bill that became law without the governor's signature.


Property taxes hit record high in county
San Mateo County Assessor Mark Church announced last week that property tax assessments increased by $22.2 billion, or 8.34 percent, to reach a record high of $288 billion. That figure represents the combined tax basis for all residential and commercial property in the county.

Embattled Washoe County Assessor Mike Clark could owe more than $32,000 in attorney fees and an anti-SLAPP penalty after filing a lawsuit against a county employee. Clark sued the employee who filed a temporary protective order against him last year. He alleged she lied to the court during a hearing last year.


Report Shows Greensboro Property Tax Increase May Be Highest In Nation
