Owner Files Plans To Convert Part Of Boston's Largest Hotel Into Northeastern Dorm Rooms

Hawkins Way Capital and Värde Partners filed a project notification form with the Boston Planning & Development Agency to permanently convert 250K SF of the 1.1M SF hotel. The owners plan to redevelop 428 rooms of the hotel's south tower into a dormitory that would accommodate 854 students, Banker & Tradesman first reported.

Message sent: Tarrant chief appraiser receives no confidence vote from Commissioners Court

Tarrant County commissioners unanimously requested Tarrant's chief appraiser Jeff Law be removed after a vote of no confidence following renewed calls for a new head of agency. Commissioners delivered a message to the Tarrant Appraisal District board of directors: implement change in the way the agency is managed. Taxpayers deserve transparency, outstanding customer service, stability and consistency when it comes to the appraisal district, County Judge Tim O'Hare said.
