Harris County passes property tax exemption for child care providers

Hundreds of child care facilities throughout Harris County will now be exempt from paying local property taxes. Harris County Commissioners Court on Tuesday unanimously passed a 100% property tax exemption for qualifying child care facilities. According to County Judge Lina Hidalgo's office, there are currently 327 child care providers that would qualify for property tax exemptions.
